Seminar Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Safety and Quality Seminar on Fishery Product
Dalam rangka memperingati Bulan Mutu Perikanan, Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan Universitas Udayana ikut berpartisipasi dengan mengikuti seminar bertajuk "Akselerasi Indsutri Perikanan melalui peningkatan nilai tambah (Value Added) dan daya saing produk perikanan". Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan pada Selasa, 2 Oktober 2012 ini dihadiri oleh Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Republik Indonesia (Bp. Sharif C. Suradjo) beserta jajaran Direktorat Jenderal di bawah kementerian ini (Dirjen Budidaya, Dirjen Penangkapan, dan Dirjen Pengolahan dan Pemasaran Hasil Perikanan). Selaku penyelenggara kegiatan ini adalah Direktorat Jenderal Pengolahan dan Pemasaran Hasil Perikanan (P2HP). Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan Universitas Udayana mengirimkan delegasinya di dalam kegiatan tersebut antara lain: Pembantu Dekan I (Prof. I Wayan Arthana, Ph.D) serta 3 orang dosen, dan 11 orang mahasiswa yang berasal dari Program Studi Manajemen Sumberdaya Perairan dan Program Studi Ilmu Kelautan.
Dalam sambutannya, Bapak Saut P. Hutagalung selaku ketua penyelenggara seminar ini menyatakan pentingnya pengendalian mutu hasil perikanan Indonesia untuk dapat meminimalisir penolakan produk perikanan Indonesia di perdagangan dunia. Selanjutnya, Bapak Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan (Sharif C. Sutardjo) memukul gong sebagai tanda pencanangan bulan mutu hasil perikanan Indonesia. Sebagai tanda dukungan Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan terhadap pengembangan industri hasil perikanan di Indonesia, diberikan pula penghargaan secara simbolis kepada beberapa stakeholder terkait. Selain itu, disematkan pula PIN Qualisafe kepada berbagai stakeholder, dan dalam hal ini Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan Universitas Udayana diwakili oleh Prof. Ir. I Wayan Arthana, Ph.D selaku Pembantu Dekan I.
Adapun materi yang dibahas dalam seminar ini antara lain: Risk Assesment and Their Contribution to Codex Standar Development (oleh Dr. Iddya Karunassagar FAO), Kebijakan Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan (oleh kepala BKIPM), Kebijakan Standardiasi Produk Pangan (oleh Kepala BSN), Kebijakan Industrialisasi Perikanan Tangkap (oleh DIrektur Jenderal Perikanan Tangkap), Kebijakan Industrialisasi Perikanan Budidaya (oleh Direktur Jenderal Perikanan Budidaya), Keberlanjutan Sumberdaya Ikan untuk Mendukung Industri Perikanan (oleh Dr. Luky Adrianto dosen IPB), dan Strategi Penyediaan Bahan Baku yang kontinyu untuk memperkuat industri pengolahan hasil perikanan (oleh Dr. Abdul Ghofar Dosen UNDIP). Selain itu dibahas pula beberapa materi oleh para praktisi industri hasil perikanan, yaitu oleh Bapak Tachmid Widiasto (Praktisi pengolah Tuna) dan Bapak Tigor Chendarma (Praktisi pengolah Udang).
In the event of commemorating Fishery Quality Month, Faculty of Marine and Fishery, Udayana University participate in the seminar of a theme “Fishery Industry Acceleration through the improvement of Value Added and fishery competitive product.” The event that was held on Tuesday, 2nd of October 2012 is attended by Minister of Marine and Fishery, Republic of Indonesia (Mr. Sharif C. Suradjo) along with Directorate Generals that falls under this ministry (Directorate General of Cultivation, Hauling, and Fishery Product Processing and Marketing). As host of this event is Directorate General of Fishery Product Processing and Marketing (P2HP). Faculty of Marine and Fishery, Udayana University sent its representation in this event, they are: Dean Assistant I (Prof. I Wayan Arthana, Ph.D) along with 3 lecturers and 11 students that study under the Marine Science and Aquatic Resources Management Program.
In his welcoming speech, Sir Saut P. Hutagalung as the head committee of this seminar stated the significance of fishery product quality control in Indonesia to minimize the refutation of Indonesian fishery product in world commerce. Afterwards, the Minister of Marine and Fishery (Sharif C. Sutardjo) hit the gong as a sign that quality month of Indonesian fishery product has just started. To show the support of Ministry of Marine and Fishery on industrial development of fishery product in Indonesia, awards were given symbolically to several related stakeholders. Moreover, Qualisafe PIN is also stitched on several stakeholders; in this case, Faculty of Marine and Fishery, Udayana University is represented by Prof. Ir. I Wayan Arthana, Ph.D; as the Dean Assistant I.
Materials brought in this seminar are: Risk Assessment and Their Contribution to Codex Standard Development (by Dr. Iddya Karunassagar FAO), Safety and Quality Control Policy on Fishery Product (by the Head of BKIPM), Food Crop Standardize Policy (by the Head of BSN), Hauling Fishery Industrialization Policy (by General Director of Hauling Fishery), Fishery Cultivation Industrialization Policy (by the General Director of Fishery Cultivation), Fish Resources Continuity to Support Fishery Industry (by Dr. Luky Adrianto, a lecture of IPB), and continual Raw Material Supply to strengthen fishery product processing industry (by Dr. Abdul Ghofar, a lecture of UNDIP). Furthermore, several materials are also discussed by the practitioners of fishery product industry, who are Sir Tachmid Widiasto (Practitioner of Tuna Processing) and Sir Tigor Chendarma (Practitioner of Crab Processing).
